View full dashboardTata Power delivered a strong Q1 FY27 performance with net profit rising 11% year-on-year to ₹1,401 crore and EBITDA growing 8% to ₹4,249 crore, marking the 27th consecutive quarter of growth.
The company achieved record first-quarter capex deployment of ₹5,300 crore, positioning it well to meet its ambitious ₹25,000 crore annual capex target with half allocated to renewables. Rooftop solar emerged as a standout performer with revenue doubling year-on-year, while the transmission business sustained a robust 45% four-year revenue CAGR. Management outlined plans to expand renewable capacity from 6.7 GW to over 9 GW by year-end through 2.5 GW of additions.
A significant breakthrough came with the Mundra plant resolution, where state power purchase agreements provide revenue visibility through 2038. Management expressed high confidence in full-year performance, expecting Q1 PAT to multiply 4.5-5x by year-end rather than the typical 4x. The company plans to commission 800-900 MW of renewable capacity in Q2 alone.
