Return on equity was 13.4% against 11.8% a year ago, gross NPA was 0.66%, net NPA 0.46% and credit cost fell to 0.4%. Yields were temporarily lowered because funding raised late in the quarter had not yet been deployed, leaving net interest margin at 5.7% against a guide of about 6%. Cost of borrowing fell to 10% against a 10.5% full-year guide, with a 25 to 30 bps rate rise priced in. The employee base fell 11% as AI handled more onboarding and calls.

Management tightened underwriting and moderated rural and business-to-business disbursements in drought-hit districts of Maharashtra and the south. A consumer app is due to go live around the end of Q3, targeting 40% to 50% of acquisition within three years, and management repeated its aim to double AUM, revenue and profit over three fiscal years. Analysts asked about finance cost growth, AI savings and co-lending.
