Newgen Software's Q2 FY27 call, held on 23 October 2026, showed a software maker growing through its international and subscription businesses while India lagged.

Revenue rose 5.4% to ₹422 crore, with EMEA up 19.4% and the US up 17.1%, but India fell 12.6% and APAC fell about 6.4% as deal closures slipped. SaaS revenue grew 36.4%, annuity revenue grew 15%, and subscription revenue passed license revenue, which fell 19.2% against a strong base. EBITDA was ₹109 crore at a 25.8% margin and profit after tax was ₹87 crore at 20.6%. Net receivables of ₹642 crore and net DSO of 144 days, driven by Middle East delays, were the weak spot.

Management reiterated its double-digit growth target for the year and a 20% to 22% net margin, pointing to ten AI-led deals in the first half and larger AI deal sizes. Of 14 earlier promises, two were met, six are on track, one was partly met, one was missed, one is delayed, one is not yet visible and two were not mentioned. India closures are expected in Q3.
