Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.₹5 Lakh Cr AUM Goal Held
View full dashboardIndian Railway Finance Corporation had a slow Q1 FY27 for lending, with disbursement of about ₹2,000 Cr and AUM slightly lower on accrual accounting of railway repayments, but management held its guidance for AUM of around ₹5 lakh Cr by year end, disbursement above last year's more than ₹35,000 Cr and NIM above 1.6%, against a Q1 NIM of 1.48% cited by an analyst. Revenue and PAT were described as the highest ever, though the call gave no figures, and other income was lifted by a yen and rupee currency gain.
Chairman Manoj Kumar Dubey called FY27 a year of consolidation and planning for 2030 and 2037, with a pipeline built around seven high-speed rail corridors worth about ₹16 lakh Cr and a ₹3 lakh Cr freight corridor, plus a Fund in India model to channel multilateral money. He said new assets earn about 100 bps against 35 to 40 bps on legacy railway loans, lending at 8% still earns more than 100 bps, and zero NPA is a business proposition. Hyderabad Metro financing is on track.
