View full dashboardFederal Bank delivered a strong quarter with net profit rising nine percent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 1,041.21 crore, driven by structural balance sheet improvements rather than tactical actions.
The bank achieved record-high net interest income of Rs 2,652.73 crore and fee income of Rs 896.47 crore, while net interest margin expanded twelve basis points to 3.18 percent despite 125 basis points of rate cuts over the past year. The CASA ratio improved significantly to 32.07 percent, up 106 basis points sequentially and among the best in the industry, reflecting sustained liability franchise strength. Asset quality remained robust with gross NPA declining to 1.72 percent and net NPA at an all-time low of 0.42 percent.
Return on assets improved to 1.15 percent and return on equity reached 11.68 percent. Management received regulatory approvals for Blackstone's strategic investment and expects margin expansion to continue over multiple quarters as CASA growth and asset mix optimization progress. Full-year credit cost guidance improved to fifty-two to fifty-three basis points from the initial range.
