Castrol India's call on 26 October 2026 covered its third quarter of calendar 2026 (July to September, shown here as Q2 FY27), when sharp raw material inflation and adverse currency moves squeezed profit despite higher revenue.

Revenue rose 27% to ₹1,735 crore, but EBITDA fell 19% to ₹262 crore at a margin of about 15%, against 26% in the second quarter, and profit after tax fell 23% to ₹176 crore. Over nine months, revenue rose 20% to ₹5,151 crore, EBITDA rose 11% and profit after tax rose 9%. The raw material bill rose more than 60% in the quarter. Management said early price hikes protected margin per litre, volumes grew ahead of the market and industrial volume grew in double digits.

Management gave no guidance for the next few months, kept a medium-term EBITDA frame of 21% to 24%, and said the near-term margin will stay outside it. The Stonepeak purchase of BP's global Castrol business is still waiting on licences in more than 50 countries. No earlier promises were on file for comparison.
