Business crossed ₹7 lakh crore for the first time, up 25%, with advances up 30% and 23% excluding the GIFT City banking unit. Net profit rose 41% and operating profit 31%, return on equity reached 26.98%, return on assets 2.02% and net interest margin 3.97%. Gross NPAs fell to 1.25% and net NPAs to 0.12%, with provision coverage at 98.53%. The bank took ₹500 crore of expected credit loss provisions, bringing the total to ₹750 crore against a ₹2,500 crore plan, and recovered ₹1,023 crore from written-off accounts so far this year, helped by the Maharashtra debt waiver.
It raised $1.65 billion through FCNR(B) and overseas borrowing and a first foreign bond, though that special window has closed. Management says each guidance number has been met, expects credit growth above 18%, and sees no stress yet from drought, with a restructuring scheme in place. No earlier promises were on file for comparison.
